Starting in November 2022, Malaysians will be able to watch Netflix programmes with the Basic Plan in 720p HD, according to the platform’s Plans and Pricing webpage. Users of the Basic Plan could previously only access content in 480p SD resolution.
At RM35 per month, the Basic Plan is their second-cheapest choice in Malaysia. Users can watch and download content without advertising on one supported device at a time. The RM17 Mobile Plan, which enables customers to watch Netflix on one mobile device at a time, is their least expensive plan in Malaysia.
It appears that Netflix won’t add any more fees to the Basic Plan for this upgrading at this time. But given that Netflix intends to continue providing a “Basic Plan with Ads” to more nations, having that update might make the Ads plan much more tempting to individuals.
Officially, the Basic Plan with Ads plan has not yet been made available in Malaysia. The package, however, costs US$6.99 per month in nations like the US (around RM33). It will probably cost less than that if the plan is made available here. — SoyaCincau
